When shopping around for a baby bouncers for your little one there is one thing to get right – comfort. When purcashing a baby bouncer one consideration is whether or not to get one that hangs from the door, or a free-standing one. Opinions are split and both have their ups and downs. Here, I try to weigh up the pros and cons of each in a easily digestable format.

Door Bouncers

Door bouncers for baby’s are great because they stimulate your baby’s urges to move their legs. This can only be a good thing with helping to strengthen baby’s legs and prepare them for walking. The downside with door bouncers is that you need a stirdy door frame to begin with. If you live in an older house you might want to double check the door frame can take the weight. Free-standing Bouncers

Bouncers that dont require a door or anything else are generally better as they of course leave your doorway free, but also they tend to come with things attached.
